Another successful John Alliston Trophy Day

The John Alliston Tankard was won this year by NFU member, Robin Blakeway with a Stableford score of 39 points. Malcolm MacAllister of the Farmers Club was runner-up, with 37 points ahead of WCF Liveryman, Michael Turnbull, also with 37 points and third only on count back.

The team competition was won by, Denis Chamberlain, Bob Pickles, Mike Broomby and Robin Blakeway with 88 points, ahead of Vic Truman, John Gittins, Eileen Hogan and Martin Taylor with 87 points. The men's nearest the pin was won by John Gittins and the Winning Lady's Prize went to Kay Pole with 30 points.

The 2020 John Alliston Trophy will take place at Stratford on Thursday 27th August, total cost including bacon rolls,18 holes of golf and a 3 course meal will be £70. The day is open to ladies and gentlemen and the prizes will be presented by John's widow Petey.
